Establishment of Harappa and Mohenjo-Daro

The earliest settlements in Harappa was in famous cities like Pakistan and Baluchistan which began since the 2500 BCE. Another major city, Mohanjo – Daro, was also established during this period.

The main occupations done in these cities were farming, raising farm animals, and trading the products and crops. Wheat, Millet, Peas were their primary crop and were grown with the help of the water from the river.

The housed built during the establishment of these two major cities were made of stong bricks and had many rooms built-in along with a bathroom.

The Indus Valley Civilization was divided into three phases, including Early Harappa, Mature Harappa, and Late Harappa.
