Babylonians took over Mesopotamia

Babylonia is formed after the fall of the Akkadian Empire. It was one of the Akkadian speaking countries located in the South, and another was Assyria in the North.

The King of this nation was Hammurabi, who wrote a system of law for the first time in this civilization. He had established the Code of Hammurabi and with the help of this code, Babylon was able to take over Mesopotamia during 1792 BC
